Rachel N S - $1,700/month

Hey, I'm Rachel! I'm 28 and relocating to NYC from Seattle in October. Ideally I'm looking for a move-in date toward the end of the month, but I have some flexibility and I'm willing to pay rent for October for the right place. I love to be friendly with my roommates, but I also respect alone time and privacy! I'm great at planning parties and gatherings (in my previous housing situation, roomie and I hosted an annual witch's tea party in the fall as well as regular Friendsgivings and New Year's Eve parties). I work remotely but don't like to be home all the time, so in the past I've split my time between working from home and going to libraries and co-working spaces when I need a change of scenery. When I'm not at work I love to keep active, so I play roller derby, run, and do yoga and pilates on my rest days. I'm also into music, fashion, and I recently started learning to sew after years of watching RuPaul's Drag Race. I also love getting out on evenings and weekends to explore my city, and I'm often up for company! Aside from planned social events, I don't tend to have people over and I don't generally have overnight guests, although I'm cool with guests on a semi-regular basis with communication and planning. I drink very little and I don't smoke, but I don't mind if others do! I'm a pretty clean and tidy person and I strongly prefer a no-drama situation where everyone picks up after themselves, so ideally roommates would also be naturally tidy people. I also love to decorate and the aesthetic of my space is important to me, so I would love a roomie who wants to collaborate and decorate a space we're both proud of.
