I’m a 28 year old French/Australian that moved to the US in July 2022 from Melbourne, Australia. I work as a commercial lawyer in the energy sector. I typically work in the office 3 days a week and work from home 2 days a week.
I’m usually very quiet on weeknights, but occasionally like to have a few friends over for dinners or movie nights on weekends.
In my spare time, I love reading, exercising, going out for brunch or a few drinks with friends and travelling around the US (I am dedicated to ticking off all 50 states while I am here).
I’m very house proud and incredibly tidy (almost OCD, some might say).

LOOKING FOR A HOUSEMATE: 2BR apartment in Chelsea
Hi everyone - I am looking for a housemate for the second (smaller) room of my Chelsea apartment, available immediately (start date flexible) for a 6 month sublease. It’s a stunning 2 bedroom brownstone located on a quiet and leafy street in Chelsea, a few minutes’ walk away from Chelsea Market and the Highline.
THE APARTMENT:

Pet Policy: Cats only. I have a cat who is extremely friendly and gentle with both people and other pets. Would consider a second cat if they’re able to get along
Furnished: The apartment is fully furnished, so you will only need to furnish your bedroom which comes unfurnished
Price: $2,500 / month (+ bills + one quarter of agent’s fee)
Features:
The apartment features a generously sized living room, recently renovated kitchen and bathroom, stainless steel kitchen appliances including a dishwasher, a washing machine and dryer located in the basement and ample storage space.
THE ROOM:
You would occupy the smaller bedroom (measurements are 101” x 109”) which can fit a double bed + desk or double bed + drawers. The room does not have in-built storage but there is a wardrobe with hanging space available to you near the entrance and a separate large storage area where you can add additional shelves or drawers.
The best part about this room is that you will have your own private garden oasis in the center of Chelsea (direct access from your bedroom). The outdoor area comes fully furnished and has a barbecue.
