Hi Everyone,
John here. I'm looking for a roommate beginning March 1st in Bed Stuy.
The room is a large 13ft by 10ft. The windows are 6ft tall and span 6.5 ft. Very deep closet space and a shallow fireplace original to the building, no fires though. Windows face west so plenty of light 12pm to sunset. I'm currently updating the paint in the bedroom to light blue.
The apartment is a 2 bedroom, 1 office, 1 bath and located on the 2nd floor of a brownstone building. Built in 1931 the building was entirely gutted 12 years ago. It has hardwood floors, partially exposed original brick in all the rooms other than the bath. Each bedroom has a shallow fireplace
Laundry in the basement and rooftop accessible.
The neighborhood is a broad mix of people. Young professions, Latin, Black and Hasidic communities... The neighborhood is Bed Stuy on the cusp of S Wburgh and Clinton Hill. Plenty of spots to eat, grocery store 2 blocks away and 24hr bodega across the street.
The room will come unfurnished. Fire escape out the window as well.
Financial: First month and deposit to move in ($2600). Utilities not included but split 2 ways. The vary depending upon usage but flexible on the split.
Commitment: Looking for a minimum of a 3 month stay commitment. Preferably longer but flexible.
