About Me

Hello!

My name is Lea (pronounced "Lee"). I recently moved to Berkeley for my job at an environmental and social policy think tank and advocacy group called Environmental Progress. Despite my political work, I am willing to live with people who have different politics than mine.

I love music, comedy, and walking in nature. I'm truly looking forward to seeing live performances again post-pandemic. Recently I have been listening to the Beatles, The Beach Boys, Daft Punk, Bon Iver, Kanye, and Chet Baker. I don't listen to music at loud volumes except in my car. For comedy, I've been digging Nikki Glaser, Taylor Tomlinson, and Dave Chappelle. On my road trip to Cali, I stoped at the Grand Canyon, which was a fantastic experience and in the week I've been here I took a hike in the hills above Berkeley. The Bay Area is staggeringly beautiful.

As for living situation, I am hoping to staying in Berkeley below the hills or in North Oakland so I'm within biking distance to work. My job is on the 2500 block of Telegraph Ave, so the nearer I am to there the better. I'd like to live in a house or apartment where I could have 1+ roommates. I'm an extravert and hope that my roommate(s) will be down just to chat sometimes. I am cool with parties on the weekends. Having friends over frequently is cool. I love to meet new people. I don't smoke weed (which may change since I'm in a legalized state now), but it's cool if you do. I will not live with someone who smokes cigarettes. Cleaning the dishes after eating is critical and I value a clean kitchen space. Working together to clean common areas occasionally is important. I'm cool with pets and love dogs (unless you have a dog that barks all the time non-stop). As for sleep schedule, I wake up between 6 and 8 on weekdays and sleep in on the weekends. For room size, I like to meditate lying on the floor and also do light exercises in my room, so my room needs to be large enough to accommodate that (which shouldn't be too hard at my price point). I don't have any food allergies.

Happy to chat! Let's hang!
