About Me

Hello, I’m originally from the Midwest but moved to New York many year’s ago to pursue a career in theatre. I’m very interested in other cultures and love to travel when I have the chance. In non-Covid times, I loved going to plays, watching movies and I'm interested in the arts in general. I've been working remotely since March and will continue to do so for at least the next few months. When I’m not working I like catching up on books, newspapers, plays and good TV. I love reading the New York Times, travel sites and listening to podcasts. When I have time I enjoy cooking and working on knitting projects. Since March I've been socially distancing and doing most of my socializing via Zoom happy hours with friends. As far as cleanliness, I believe in roommates sharing the responsibility of keeping the apartment tidy and uncluttered, but I’m not a neat freak. I work 10 – 6 and when I have a play running I’m often at the theatre at nights as well. I’m looking for a roommate who is responsible, mature and respectful.

Available Room for Rent

Large Sunny Park Slope Share Available for Sublet

This is a single occupancy short-term sublet with somewhat flexible move-in and out dates. The room is available July and August, and potentially for additional months. Our apartment is a large sunny place with an abundance of charm and character like hardwood parquet floors, a built-in hutch and beautiful woodwork. The living room is comfortable with lots of natural light. There’s a nice-sized kitchen, one bathroom and a small back deck.

My room is 168 sq. ft. with two windows for lots of natural light and some remarkable architectural features like a built in floor to ceiling mirror and pocket doors. It’s fully furnished, including a TV with an option for cable, a wardrobe, dresser, desk, and double bed.

I'm looking for a non-smoking female subletter who will be clean, responsible, respectful, gay-friendly, and a good communicator. You'll be living with three other women who share those qualities. The culture in the apartment is friendly but respectful of each other's space and privacy. We sometimes share a drink and conversation on the back deck or in the living room, but there's no pressure to socialize. Everyone pitches in to keep the apartment tidy and we'll want the subletter to do the same. We've all been responsibly socially distancing and we'll want a subletter who will do so as well. The listed price includes rent, wifi, and utilities. I'll also ask for references. I look forward to meeting you and, hopefully, hosting you in my home.
