Hey all!

My name is Jana and I am currently planning my move to NYC for the year of 2023 to do my LLM. I'm from Berlin, Germany and just passed my first Bar, finishing Law School. Since in Germany, we have to pass a second Bar to be fully qualified, waiting lists for a clerkship in Berlin are long and I've got some time to kill, I've applied for a master's program to study the US legal system.

I spent some years growing up in the DC area, visited New York often as a child with my family and it's no big surprise that it's a dream come true to get to spend a year of my life experiencing the city first hand.

A little bit about my person. I'll be 24 this August, identify as she/her and would like to call myself political. I care deeply for my friends and family and also tend to show that. Living with roommates has never been a problem, I'd say I get along with most people and I find it important to keep my home space clean and tidy, while a stressful week can also be a reason I don't manage to vacuum my room until the next. I love spending time with the people I live with, I enjoy cooking very much and love to share dinners while I can also respect boundaries and cherish time by myself. In my free time I go out with friends or try some sort of workout - on lazy days I can spend hours in bed reading my most recent book.
