Room available in 3b/2ba condo unit (5 min walk to Metro)
I am looking for a consistently mature and responsible roommate to share a newly renovated 3b/2 ba condo located across the Anacostia in the east corner of DC. The address is DC but it’s Capitol Heights. Five minute walk to Capitol Heights metro (silver/blue line) where 4 and 3 stops away are Eastern Market and Potomac Ave respectively. Eastern Market has Traders Joes, a busy farmers market, CVS, and a number of restaurants, while Potomac Ave has a Harris Teeter. If you have a car, Safeway and Wegmans are both about 15 mins away. I have been in the condo for 8 months now and while there is not much in stores or food in the immediate area, the condo is quite spacious and cheap for DC. For this value you are not getting the convenience of well cared for consumer areas close by (without a car). Around the corner is the Marvin Gaye Recreation center with outdoor basketball that draws consistent crowds.
