My name is Leane, I am a 29-year-old female living in Alexandria, VA just outside of Washington, D.C. My boyfriend and I are renting a house with one other roommate who is moving out 4/1/2020. We are seeking someone to take over his portion of the lease, which will end 12/15/2020 so it's an 8-month lease. My boyfriend, Chase, a 25-year-old male, and I share the master bedroom and bathroom. Our roommate has a private room and a private bathroom (separate from the room). I'm not a Facebook person, feel free to find my linked-in or instagram!
About Us:
Chase grew up in the area and I have lived in Alexandria, VA for a little over 2 years now. We are fairly neat and try to be respectful when our roommate is sleeping. We tend to be sort of night owls (go to bed by 11pm-1am) but it varies depending on the work schedule. We are both active rock climbers (incase you recognized all the crashpads downstairs). We tend to hang out at the house more than going out these days but Old Town is nearby and D.C is a short metro away. We enjoy cooking, lately been into bread making! We are casual drinkers, here and there depending on the week. We'll usually have some beer in the fridge or a bottle or two floating around but probably only drink 1-2 times per week if any. Most nights we cook dinner, play some video games and/or watch Netflix/Hulu. The house doesn't have cable, just internet - all about that streaming life. We both work. I work more of a 10/11am-6/7pm job more than a 9-5 but they didn't have that option, haha! I have flex hours but work a part-time job here and there too. Chase also has a more varied schedule but it's usually in the 8am-9pm range. No real preference for drugs and alcohol use (you live your life lol), but no cigarette smoking in the house, please.
Pets:
We have a 6-month-old kitten. She is a long-hair and super friendly. She's very smart and knows how to sit and walk on a leash with a harness. The pet policy is flexible with the property management company, allowing dogs and cats (and any small critters in between). We would prefer cats to dogs but are open to either.
Other:
We are open and friendly to any roommate and any age (preferably 21+ because we usually have some beer in the fridge). Male, female, and LGBTQ+ :) We just ask you are respectful of shared spaces and polite/tolerant to the cat.

Price:
$800/month + 1/3 of shared utilities. Internet is included in the monthly rent cost!
Lease Term: 4/1/2020-12/15/2020
**Our roommate is moving out before the lease is up so we need someone to take over his portion of the lease.
Utilities:
We try to be fairly conservative with utilities not typically costing more than an additional $50 per month pending usage. We pay the following utilities at the house: electric, gas, water, and trash.
Property Management Requirements:
You will need to submit 30 days of paystubs in order to be able to sign onto the lease.
About the Room:
The room is large with a big closet. The bed shown in photographs is a King size bed. The room also fits a dresser, table and large 40"+ TV (not quite sure how large the roommate's TV is but...big!) as well as a small chair. Four windows, and ceiling light.
About the House:
It is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath split-level house. Hardwood floors in all rooms except the downstairs which is tiled. There is a living room, dining area, kitchen, and downstairs secondary living room (which we mostly use for storage). There is a laundry room with a washer and dryer and a mudroom where we store bikes. The private bathroom is downstairs. The kitchen is decent-sized with a good amount of cabinet space. Limited counter space but we've been re-arranging lately to maximize it. There is a small backyard that is partially fenced in because of the neighboring yards. We have a small firepit as well.
Parking: Driveway and street parking available!
Location/Area:
We are right on a bus line. DC metro is great. We are about a 5min drive from the Huntingdon Station (yellow line) and about a 40min total metro ride from D.C. 495 is also a 5-10min drive away from the house.
Pets:
