About Me

I am 28, queer and work in music tech (10am to 6pm, Mon-Fri). I like to live with people who enjoy keeping a calm home and are respectful of personal space. I am ok with a little messiness but like to keep the apartment clean (I currently split a cleaning service fee with my roommates once a month and would like to continue that). I have friends over occasionally for dinner or to watch dumb and/or amazing TV shows (Riverdale, the Good Place and Love Island are recent favorites). When I'm not at work I like to go to concerts, hike and do pilates.

Available Room

Private Room in Big, Sunny 2BR by McGolrick Park

The room: Good size (will be unfurnished but currently fits a queen bed, large dresser and large desk) with a big closet, high ceilings, ceiling fan and a sunny window. Available for February 1st for $1450 including utilities (internet, electric, heat & hot water) + a $1000 security deposit.

The apartment: Large renovated kitchen (appliances are 5 years old) with lots of storage space, super sunny dining/living room, a shared bathroom with shower/tub and third bedroom off of the dining room I am converting into a den/TV room. I have lived in this apartment for over 5 years and love it and the neighborhood. Awesome sunsets and roof access. Both of my long time roommates are leaving to move in with their partners, but I have decided to stay, redecorate (the current furniture/kitchen stuff is mostly mine but I am making some improvements!) and convert this into a huge 2 bedroom. Pets are allowed and welcomed (I don't have any but my roommate that is moving out has a dog I will miss dearly)

The neighborhood: Just one block away from beautiful McGolrick Park (with a great farmers market on Sundays and the best dog park) and on the same street as Variety Coffee, Met Foods, Laundry, and plenty of chill bars and restaurants (Little Dokebi and Diamond Lil are favorites) 10 min walk to the Nassau G, 15 min walk to the Graham L train, and one block from the B24 (goes right to Graham L stop for rainy days) or B48. Also walking distance to McCarren Park and the Bedford Ave L (20 mins)

If you are still reading and this seems like a good fit, please email me with a description of your current living and work situation, a little bit about yourself and any questions! Thanks & happy new year! Emily
