1 spacious room, bright, unfurnished room in 3 bedroom apartment (bedframe n/a; just for proportions).
Located in the Hudson Heights area, N. of 181st.
$975, plus 1 month deposit; utilities shared/separate (usually $40-70 month).
Application through building management - need at least good credit, and proof of income. (available July 1st ; lease ends Sept. 1 2022).
Roommate agreement to be crafted.
Shoes-off home.
One cat lives here, so no other pets at this time.
Amazing light and sunsets, a view with trees; a short walk from great food stores, a good wine/liquor store, a local pharmacy, laundromat, and plenty of restaurants to choose from; also some of the best free libraries anywhere! AND a mere 10 minute walk to the Heather Garden in Fort Tryon Park and Hudson River.
Yes, perhaps it feels like upstate Manhattan, BUT: We are mere seconds from the A train entrance, and the train ride is 20 minutes from Columbus Circle. Also, this is a real neighborhood where you will get to know others as you spend time here.
Note: This is a 5-floor walk up which is a challenge BUT, the perk is no one clomping around over our heads - worth every step, imo. And fantastic Western exposure (great for plants). Plenty of cabinet space and attentive super.
Basically a space for peace and quiet.
Best for folks who are chill after 10/11 and who don't want to bring home frequent guests.
We are very clean and mindful here.
No ciggies; but 420 and moderate drinking okay.
COVID Conscious - housemates should be vaccinated and still wearing masks in public spaces/subways etc.
Must be up front about any crazy sicknesses or critters that might arise.
Scented products might need negotiations.
Note: We don't use the common space often, unless everyone is involved/okay, because sound/privacy issues, but holiday gatherings are encouraged. We'll all be doing our own thing in our own spaces most of the time, but it would be good to share a glass or a cuppa now and then.
Me: Female, native New Yorker; extroverted-introvert. Adjunct professor teaching NYC history and writing/writing tutor/occasional performer. Do some sewing and crafting; love movies/shows/local and bbc radio/podcasts; frequent walks in the nearby garden.
Other roommate: Female, introvert, "owner" of cat named Luna. Works in physical therapy. reads books, does yoga, also goes for walks.
Luna: all black, gentle, sweet, and chatty at dinner time. Very friendly.
