I am looking for a place to move into at the beginning of August, I'm working as an art teacher in the South Bronx and am mostly looking in the uptown area.

I'm moving in from Kansas. I'm quiet and very laid back, I'm looking for a fairly quiet apartment/roommate (at least on weekdays).
I need a place with lots of light for my plants, also for when I'm painting, which I like to do with natural light. I might have a friend come visit for a couple nights but that would be rare. Otherwise I pretty much keep to myself, but I'm friendly! I'd love to explore the city a bit with my roommate.

1700 is my max but it'd be great to stay in the $1500-$1600 range.

No cats. Would consider a clean and quiet dog!
