Looking for a roommate in a 2-bedroom and 2 bathroom apartment

Hello, my name is Chris. I live in a 2-bedroom and 2 bathroom (2nd floor) apartment at a 12-apartment complex. I am looking for a roommate who would have their own room (unfurnished) and own bathroom while sharing the kitchen and living room (furnished or flexible).

The room is spacious (10x12 feet). Rent is $1,100/month. Deposit is $1,100. Cox Internet Wi-Fi is $35/month and SDGE (varies) is usually around $35/month (and about $125/month for 2 summer months when using the AC). Your total monthly would be about $1,170.

Some amenities included are dishwasher, off-street parking, laundry room, and swimming pool. Kitchen has lots of counter and cabinet space.

Please note that the apartment management would like someone who has a steady income to make sure the rent (and bills) are covered. $35 rental application (with credit check), proof of income, and month to month contract is required by management.

Move-in date is as early as 7/15/25; might be as early as 7/1/25. I need to confirm with my current roommate about the soonest date available.

My current roommate is getting married this August and he just found a new place in TJ. We lived together for about 5 years (I've lived in this apartment since 2006).

Friendly and responsible neighbors in the complex. The closest intersection is El Cajon Blvd and 70th St. Apartment is about a five minute drive to SDSU, Costco, Trader Joe's, Ralph's, or Lake Murray (great walking place) and about 15 minute drive to Downtown or Mesa College.

I have no preference for either a male or female roommate; I have lived with both. I like having an easy-going and clean home environment while being considerate and responsible. I’m an elementary school music teacher.
