Hi! I currently work on Long Island and accepted a job in the city so I am looking to relocate closer to my new place of employment. I will be working typically M-F 9-5 hours with some flexibility. I have always had roommates that I became friends with and while I would definitely enjoy spending time socially with a new roommate, I am also completely fine with being respectful acquaintances who do their own thing. I am looking to live in Manhattan, western Queens or western Brooklyn. I am open on move in date. I do not have a pet, but am ok if you do and will definitely enjoy some animal cuddles with the furry friend. I am a social worker who works with victims of crime and enjoy down time when I am not at work. Typically during the week I may go for dinner or drinks with a friend or to the gym after work and then come home and relax. I am an occasional social drinker (or perhaps a solo glass of wine after a stressful day), but I don't bring the party home. I may have an occasional guest and expect my roommate to do the same, but I also don't want to feel like there are always other people in my home and don't want my roommate to feel that way either. I am all about open communication! I would prefer to know immediately if something I did was a bother so we can talk it out instead of letting it simmer.
