I am seeking a new roommate for my lovely, sunny two-bedroom pre-war apartment on the Upper West Side. The new roommate would have to re-sign the lease with me for a January move in, which should be a very simple process. The building is run by an organized management company, and I just successfully negotiated the rent down! The available room is unfurnished but the pictures show the currently furnished room.

My former roommate and I have enjoyed living here so much for the past year. She decided to take advantage of the current market and get a one-bedroom nearby because she loves the area so much.

The apartment is L-shaped, which is great for living with a roommate - I’m a night owl and my previous roommate was an early riser, and it was never a problem. While the street is noisy, the apartment itself is quiet (we NEVER hear our neighbors, or even each other when we’re in our own rooms). Beautiful hardwood floors, recently renovated kitchen (fully stocked with great cookware), clean and bright bathroom, high ceilings, the available bedroom is spacious, fits a queen-sized bed, dresser, desk etc, and has two big closets and two big windows facing north. The super lives in the building and is very friendly and responsive. We just had a “virtual doorman” intercom installed which makes receiving packages and guests convenient.

The apartment is on the 6th floor of an elevator building, steps from the 123 and less than a 10 min walk from Central Park and Riverside Park. The neighborhood is great, lots of grocery stores (including TJ’s and Whole Foods), pharmacies, restaurants, and a great local dive bar just around the corner.

A little about me, I’m 26 years old and I work at a non-profit Jazz organization. I primarily work from home M-F but occasionally produce livestreams from musicians' homes and will often stay at my parent’s house in Westchester, so you’ll have the place to yourself once or twice a week. I’m a clean and very easygoing roommate, I'm looking for someone similar. I generally do my own thing, but would be very happy to have someone to hang out with as well! My former roommate is totally happy to give a candid review of living with me and in the apartment if you’re interested.
