Hi! I'm Sophie, a 32 yr old architect living in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. As a roommate, I'm easy-going, friendly, reliable, clean and neat. I enjoy wine, cooking, fashion, design, and being outdoors. I typically work in Manhattan, but during COVID, I have been working remote from home. The apartment is set up well for two people to work simultaneously from the living room with still plenty of space to themselves (dining table and desk nook on separate sides of the living room).

Fort Greene - Room for Rent - Nov 1
Hello! I am looking for a new roommate starting November 1st.
The 2nd floor walk-up apartment (2 bed/1 bath, ~750sf) is on a quiet street in a great location: very central to Brooklyn and close to many amenities. Laundromat, multiple grocery stores, restaurants, and Target are all within a couple blocks of the apartment. It is just 3 blocks from the G and Atlantic Barclays Center (2,3,4,5,B,D,N,Q,R, and LIRR), and just 1 block from the C train. The apartment is directly across from a small park/tennis court, which is a huge asset during this pandemic! Fort Greene park is also 3 blocks away and Prospect Park within walkable distance.
The available room is an unfurnished bedroom w/ floor-to-ceiling closet and window that gets great afternoon light. Easily fits queen sized bed, nightstand, and dresser. The bedroom's hardwood floors were replaced only a couple years ago.
The shared living room is spacious, light-filled, and furnished. It is set up well for two people to remote-work (with a dining table at one end and a desk nook at the other) - I know that a lot of people are working from home these days so it is good to have the extra space. My current roommate will be taking her desk, which I plan to replace, unless you already have one.
No pets or couples, please!
-Rent is $1250 (plus separate utilities $50-$70/month for WIFI/electricity) due on the 1st of every month.
- 1st month and security deposit required before move-in ($2500 total)
- Rent is month-to-month, but I am looking for a longer-term commitment with a sublease signed for the first 6-months
