Looking for a roommate in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Jersey City / Hoboken - New York

Harsh D - $1,600/month

About Me

Hey! I’m Harsh, a graduate student at Syracuse University moving to NYC this summer after wrapping up my master’s. I’m ISTP-T, into DIY projects, and currently working around AI engineering, so on weekdays I’ll probably be locked into my laptop.

I’m planning to share my room with my girlfriend, so I’m mainly looking for a 2 bed / 2 bath or 3 bed / 2 bath setup, ideally with enough bathrooms so nobody feels inconvenienced. We’re both very respectful of shared spaces, cleanliness, and everyone’s comfort. The goal is honestly simple: enjoy city life together while keeping things budget-friendly and easy for everyone in the apartment.

The Roommate Vibe:
I’m pretty easygoing and open-minded. I like keeping shared spaces clean and functional, but I’m not uptight about it. Just the basics: clean up after yourself, be considerate, communicate openly, and we’ll get along great.

Out and About:
I also love walking around and exploring the city. It’s how I unwind, clear my head, and get to know a new neighborhood. I’m the kind of person who would rather walk somewhere than take the train when the weather is nice.

Kitchen / Food:
I’m vegetarian and cook often, but nothing fancy, mostly simple meals I can prep and stock up on. I’m happy to share, swap tips, and always respect fridge and kitchen space.

Hobbies:
I’m into thrifting, DIY projects, and finding cool little things to fix, build, or repurpose.

Music Interest:
What better way to know a person than music? Well, my music taste is all over the place in the best way. Some days it’s rock, alt, and metal like Twenty One Pilots, Linkin Park, Green Day, Queen, System of a Down, and Metallica. Other days it’s full pop mode with artists like RAYE, Sabrina Carpenter, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, and basically powerful women making bangers.

What I'm Looking For?
A friendly, respectful place with good people. I’m happy doing my own thing during the week, but I also enjoy a kitchen catch-up or a casual hang out when the timing feels right. I’ve lived with roommates before and know that small things like paying bills on time, keeping common areas clean, and being considerate make a big difference.
