Graduating from my master's program at Columbia this December and looking for a chill, sociable roommate. I will likely be substitute teaching most weekdays, while looking for a full time teaching position. I'm very sociable, and love to become good friends with my roommates. I enjoy having friends over a few times a month, but am always mindful of respecting the space and making sure it's not too hectic. I also really like to have downtime at home and respect each other's space and independence. I've lived in NYC since 2017, so teaching is my second career. I also spent the past two years before grad school sailing full time. Living on boats helped me learn to better manage interpersonal relations and I feel I'm a fairly laid back roommate who appreciates open communication to get ahead of potential conflicts. In my free time, I work at my sailing club most weekends taking out boats on the Hudson. I also love to spend time outside of NYC, hiking, biking, or just escaping to nature!
