Hi! I have a software engineering job in Tempe lined up starting this June after I graduate from the University of Iowa. In my free time I like reading, writing, and playing video games. I'll be a hybrid worker and so might be working from the apartment 2-3 days a week. I prefer to keep my room pretty cold at night (~68F) and not too much warmer during the day (~70), and if its *too* loud I find it hard to fall asleep but unless we're unlucky with how thick the walls are I shouldn't be bothered by any noise. I'm allergic to dogs and can't live with one but I love cats! My shortlist of apartments I'm looking at is: The Local, Lakeside Drive Apartments, The Piedmont, Emerson Mill Avenue, Hudson on Farmer, and Norte Town Lake. (Some of these have high rents BUT if you check the 'special offers,' two of these have up to 12 weeks off rent and one has 13 weeks off rent "for select units," which I assume means bigger discounts for longer leases? That's why I put that I'm looking for a 1 year lease, but I'm a little flexible and could do a 6 month lease too!) I'm open to looking at other places as long as they're well-reviewed + in walking distance of Mill Ave.
