Looking for a fun lady to replace my current roommate on our lease February-July (lease renews 8/1). I’m a single 28-year old who typically works from home but loves to go out to cool restaurants and bars on the weekends. I like cooking at home too! I’m a non-smoker and don’t have guests over very often. Health is important to me, so I like going on runs or to the gym, journaling and meditation.
Building
Modern, full amenity apartment in Hunters Point, the best part of Long Island City. Amenities are included in the rent: 24/7 doorman, gym, party room, cold storage, and a rooftop with grills and insane views of the Manhattan skyline. 7 subway station is across the street, G is a block away, E/M in walking distance. Only about a 10min walk to the beautiful Gantry Park Plaza waterfront. Nearby groceries: Trader Joe’s, Key Food, Food Cellar, and Urban Market. Lots of workout studios nearby (pilates, barre, kickboxing). So many good local restaurants! This area is blowing up, so new things are opening all the time (Target coming soon).
Apartment
Unfurnished bedroom and fits a queen bed comfortably. The common space will be semi-furnished because my roommate is taking the couch and some other furniture, but I have the kitchen fully stocked. Central AC, stainless steel appliances, washer/dryer IN-UNIT. This is the corner apartment, so it has triple exposure light with views of One World Trade and more. It also means it’s super quiet! Rent $1950/month + utilities (fluctuate, around $100)
Looking for:
A female roommate in her mid-late 20s who also values cleanliness and communication. Non-smoker, pet-free, can show paystubs making 40x the rent, good credit. You must sign on for the full time; no month to month. Bonus points if you’re also single because I need someone to exchange NY dating horror stories with haha
