Hi there,

I'm Melissa and I’ve been living in Brooklyn for about four years, with a mix of solo and roommate living. I’m well versed in sharing spaces with others, believe myself to be rather considerate in that regard, and value open communication to ensure happy living for everyone. I’m very neat and tidy, a more clean as I go type rather than doing spurts of big cleaning. I’m 420 friendly but don’t smoke myself, and prefer a non-cigarette smoking household. I typically don’t drink at home and definitely not the type to bring the party home. I’m a friendly introvert, rather shy but can get pretty chatty in certain instances. I’m looking for a relaxed living environment, where everyone chips in, is considerate, and open about their needs.

I keep a pretty consistent schedule, pretty early to bed and rise, enjoy quiet mornings and evenings, typically starting and ending with a cup of tea and reading. I’m currently living in Park Slope and really value the proximity to Prospect Park so I'm hoping to find another place close by. Covid has turned me into a bit of a cycling enthusiast and I spend quite a bit of time out and about on my bike, doing the loop at the park or taking long bike rides. I am passionate about plants, love to organize, redecorate and style my plants, cycle, exercise, paint, read, and cook. I’m into politics, history, travel, volunteerism and stooping. I lived in West Africa for three years while volunteering in the Peace Corps, I studied political science in college and graduate school, I am a native new yorker (upstate though haha) and enjoy checking out cafes, restaurants, plant stores, art, live music and comedy shows ( in normal times). I’m fully vaccinated and following all CDC guidelines.
