I'm a journalist turned content marketer, and I've lived in Washington Heights for a while. I love it up here!
I'm friendly, considerate and responsible. But I'm also fun and funny! I like to cook, and I'm super into pop culture. I don't smoke/do drugs.
I'm originally from Michigan but fully consider myself a New Yorker now.

Hello! I have a lovely bedroom open in my 3-bedroom, 1-bathroom apartment that is filled with tons of natural light. The apartment is right around the corner from the A express train and a 5-minute walk to the Columbia University Medical Center. It's ready Nov. 1 but I can be flexible about the move-in date! You would sublease this place from me, and we can figure out a term that works for you.
THE ROOM:
-9'X11'
-1 window, overlooks a quiet, leafy street
-Exposed brick
-1 closet right outside bedroom door
-Unfurnished
-Enough space for a full-sized bed, desk and dresser
-Rent is $950/month (utilities are an additional $80-100/month per person). Available Nov. 1, 2020 for a sublease—flexible on term length.
THE APARTMENT:
-Spacious, clean corner apartment with north and east exposure (lots of light)
-Hardwood floors, high ceilings
-Furnished common areas, decorated to feel like a real home
-Utilities (Internet, cable and electricity/cooking gas) run about $80-$100/month per person (average is $80, and that includes occasional basics that we split, like toilet paper, cleaning supplies, etc.)
-Heat/hot water included in rent
THE BUILDING:
-Elevator building (though we're only on the second floor)
-Laundry in the basement
-Electronic entry
-Friendly super lives in the building
THE NEIGHBORHOOD:
-Located in Washington/Hudson Heights on Pinehurst, a quiet, tree-lined avenue west of Broadway. Between 177th and 178th streets.
-The building is literally a one-minute walk to the 175th Street A express train station. There is an entrance at 177th Street and Ft. Washington.
-Catch several buses on Ft. Washington and Broadway.
-The Washington Heights neighborhood is very safe. We're a short walk to Ft. Tryon Park (about 10 minutes) to the north and Columbia's medical campus (about 5 minutes) to the south. To get to the hospital, etc., you can walk; take the train one stop south; or take the bus two stops south.
