I am a Boston native and as well as a Marine Corps veteran. Less than 2 years ago, I met woman ( while living in N.C. who was not only the CEO of a veteran friendly non-profit , she also was a fellow Marine. She opened my eyes up to poorly ran the Vetrams Affairs wa s and how difficult it was for veterans to get disability benefits and taught me how to become my own advocate after 8 years of never using the VA or applying for benefits . The purpose and passion I now have in life is to spread that knowledge and teach veterans how to take control of their health and records and how to use that language to be on the favorable side of the ratings decisions that the VA gives for any and all service connected disabilities.
