I’m moving to NYC this Fall and want to start looking for places/finding roommates to search for places with. Flexible on the moving date, but I’m aiming for August-October.
I have a few friends in the city already, but it would be ideal to find roommates around the same age (gender/sexuality don’t matter) I could be friends with as well since I’m moving to a new place. I love to craft and make art (digital, paint, clay, etc). Big foodie, love cocktails and wine and dancing. Try to stay active with fun fitness classes. I'm looking forward to exploring art galleries, theater, pro sports games, and all the tucked away, unique, WTF things New York has to offer. And I also love being lazy and watching a good movie/TV or having a board game night.
I would love to pay less than $1200 and avoid any silly broker fees I’ve heard about.
I have a cat, but I'm honestly not sure whether he'll move with me. As much as that breaks my heart, he loves roaming outside and he couldn't do that in NYC so he may live with my sister. But he also may come with me and be an inside cat. He is beyond cuddly and sweet, and many a dog lover have said he is the only cat they like.
I work in health tech. My office is in Midtown, and I’ll be working hybrid weeks (some days working from home, some days going into the office) so would prefer an easy commute to that area. Still exploring what that means for neighborhoods, but open to most anywhere in Manhattan (I’ve stayed in the LES and East Village before and really liked both), northern parts of Brooklyn, and Astoria & LIC.
| My maximum monthly budget | 1,200 |
| Move in Date | Aug 2021 |
| Lease Duration | 6 Months |
| Age | 27 |
| Occupation | Analyst Healthcare Startup |
| Pets | Cat |
| Hometown | New Orleans, La, Usa |
| Education | College Degree |
| Relationship Status | Single |
We think Casey would be a great roommate! But in case you want to see more…
