My name is Consuelo and I am a 27 yo female Spaniard. I have been living in Texas these last three years and I got a teaching position right in front of the MET Museum. I am very excited, although I confess that I'm a little concerned too about the logistics. As for me, I would say I am pretty upbeat, energetic and enthusiastic in general and very career-oriented and serious about responsibilities. I've devoted almost all my life to learning languages and I have been in Academia until last May, but I'm stepping out for a while to catch my breath and get some experience out of the field. I'll be teaching at a private high school -all boys!- while I continue translating books. I am very social -may be it comes with the Spanish genes!-, but at home you'll find me basically reading, reading, reading and writing. It's true that I love talking, but I have a sixth sense to detect when the other person doesn't or just wants to wind down on their own. Also, I am not nosy whatsoever. I love my independence and respect others'. I have lived in several different cities in Europe and the US and I think I never had a problem with roommates so far... I love order and cleanliness -not to the point of obsession though haha- and I always keep my things and the common space tidy. I have a sweet cat who has never ever caused any trouble. In Texas I shared a house with a colleague and his cat, and we all got along great. I am in Madrid, so I am afraid I would not be able to have a coffee with you -at least not until August 9th, when I happen to be in NY-, but I would love to skype with you or get to know you on the platform of your choice.
