My name is Akshar and I'm a 26 year old male who just moved from Chicago starting to apartment hunt! I graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor's in Psychology and a Master's in Biomedical Science in 2015. I've worked in both research and health care analytics previously and was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago. As of 2 weeks now, I have been working at Memorial Sloan Kettering as a Research Project Coordinator in the Center for Hematologic Malignancies(on 68th between 1st and York). The hours are pretty much the ordinary 9-5 with flexibility to work from home if sick, during a storm, post-holiday food comas, etc. The position, however, is anything but ordinary so I love to go in to the office/lab. There are days where I may stay later or leave earlier, it all just depends on what phase the projects I am handling are in.

I would describe myself as an ambivert; I never mind being alone and in my own thoughts with a book or a movie or baseball on the radio, but I also love spending time socializing, exploring, and learning with friends when I am not drained from work/volunteering. I don't smoke and I don't drink, but I do enjoy spending time outside the house on weekends and unwinding. I love to play basketball, run, do yoga, and lift but my recent move and current commute have not allowed me to find time for it! I often will be going in to Jersey on the weekends (Saturday Evening/Sunday Morning) as my girlfriend lives there, and she may come to visit every now and then.

As far as being a roommate goes, I'm both organized and clean and I don't have a lot of physical clutter in my life. I lived with roommates (ranging from 1-4 other people) from 2008-2013 in the city of Chicago. If there is ever an "issue", I'm all for resolving it face to face and making sure we're all either on the same page or compromising to make sure everyone is comfortable.
