I'm a mid-40's woman from an art & design background with full-time job in book publishing. Originally from New England, I've lived in Brooklyn for over 20 years.
When I'm home I'm usually in my space downstairs, where I have a bedroom, my own little living room, and a home office. I work out, read, watch streamers/movies/TV, play games, and travel. I cook sometimes but I'm not a "foodie". I am down to earth and like to maintain a clean and peaceful home, for the most part.

Seeking fellow adult to share my great loft! The monthly rent includes all utilities (gas, electric, heat), and wi-fi. If you have a car, there is street parking. You'd be occupying the upstairs level, where the available bedroom and common spaces are.
The Room: Best space in the house, it is unusually large: about 215 sq. ft. total, roughly 14' x 16' with a 15' ceiling and an 8' x 9' window. The furnished space includes a 2' x 5' closet. Many things in the room are brand new: the A/C, ceiling fan, bed, nightstand, rug, and bedding.
The Apartment: Duplex loft located on the 1st floor of a warehouse building. Huge windows flood the common space with light. Hardwood floors, very high ceilings, A/C. The bathroom is a decent size, and the kitchen has plenty of counter space to cook. You'd have your own shelves in the fridge and cabinets for food storage.
The Building: The laundry room is filled with industrial size machines, and is just one floor below the apartment, accessible by stairs or elevator. The building is full of artistic people and has a big slop sink in the basement, and an ATM. The super lives on site to respond to any problems. There's a coffee shop and a Korean restaurant in the building. The G train is a 2 minute walk away, and the bus to the B/Q/R stops right around the corner.
The Neighborhood: Located on the border of Clinton Hill and Bed-Stuy, the apartment is in walking distance of Fort Greene Park, the Farmers Market, Pratt, BAM, Atlantic Center (with Target/Uniqlo/Apple store/Whole Foods, access to the LIRR), and Barclays Center. There's a plethora of restaurants, coffee shops, bars, banks, dry cleaners, and boutiques nearby. There is a small grocery store on the corner of the block. It's a short subway ride to the L train and Queens and a short bus ride to downtown Brooklyn. It's really one of the prettiest neighborhoods in all of Brooklyn.
Because the apartment is so large, the person living upstairs often feels like they're in the house alone. There is loads of room for two people, and even an additional room in the upstairs for more space. Sometimes me and the upstairs occupant don't even see each other all day!
The room is furnished and is available for a flexible time period; through next spring. Shorter stays are OK. Open to longer for the right person!
