I work in the Audio Visual industry as a sales consultant, but also freelance doing music production and audio engineering. I'm either generally working from home or on the road presenting to clients.
I enjoy playing music, movies, reading, writing, cooking/eating, exploring the neighborhood, watching sports, staying active, and meeting new people.
I'm not a neat freak but I'm always sure to clean up after myself and appreciate that in a roommate.
As I mentioned, the place is partially furnished, but the room you're renting would need to be furnished by yourself other than the standing dressers in the room. Any other furnishings for the living room / dining room / kitchen would be very welcome! Art for the walls would be excellent as well - currently plenty of wall space to work with.
I'd really like to make this a place that you're happy to come home to, so I'm invested in finding a roommate who is a good fit and is also interested in making this a nice place to call home.

I just signed a 12-month lease and moved into a very well kept two bedroom apartment in Greenpoint. I took the place without having a roommate because the apartment was an amazing find. The apartment is mostly furnished (although it could use more furnishing) and is on the second floor of a three story building. The apartment is actually the entire second floor.
The bedroom itself has enough room for a queen size bed, dresser (it has two standup dressers in it currently) and a desk, or whatever else you'd like to put in it. Dimensions are about 18' long and 7' wide and opens up to 9' wide where the bedroom door is.
The living room is large and has enough room to add a dining area. The place has been renovated recently and is in excellent condition.
There's a third room that doesn't have a window, so they could not list as a 3 bedroom, which I've converted into an office / music room, which would be a shared space.
There is no washer/dryer, however there is a laundry mat and dry cleaner within a block of the apartment.
Hardwood floors and tons of light.
We would split utilities (wifi and electricity/heat).
The apartment is also located between McCaren and McGolrick park, which should be pretty amazing once the warm weather returns.
Restaurants, cafes, bars, banks, pharmacies and anything you can think of are abundant and all in walking distance.
There's a no pet policy on the lease.
I'm trying to think of what else to include, but perhaps easier if you have any other questions about the space and I can answer them.
$1,500 per month rent and $1,400 security deposit are required. Would prefer someone who intends to make this "home" and wants to stay for the 12-month lease. I believe the landlord would like to add the roommates name to the lease, however, I'm fully responsible for the 12-month lease.
Any references, proof of income or credit reports would be helpful. I'm generally not concerned about this stuff, but would like to make sure this is a stable living environment (I hope that's understandable).
