Hey there! I'm an educator in the process of moving to NYC for a new job, and am looking for a room to rent in the city.

I'm originally from Burlington, VT, and have worked in education in the Bay Area and Denver since college. I missed the east coast, so I'm excited to be able to move back for work.

After work, I often like to be alone to recharge, but am pretty social on weekends. I enjoy exploring new neighborhoods, bars, restaurants, and cafes. In the winter, I'm a pretty avid skier and snowboarder, and am hoping to still be able to while living in the city.

At home, I cook, watch TV, sometimes play video games, get curious and go down Wikipedia black holes, and hang out with roommates if we get along well. I keep common areas clean, though my room is sometimes a bit messy.

I am open to roommates of any race/ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation (I'm gay if it matters to you), ability, background, etc. as long as you're a nice human and can pay their part of the rent and don't have a cat (sorry, not a hater, just allergic).
