I am 37, neurodivergent, and I recently graduated with an MSW from UNC in May and am now about to embark on a position in the field of mental health (it is possible I will have a hybrid schedule with some work from home). I love spending time outdoors, running, hiking, and being inspired by nature. I also enjoy reading, creating stuff/making art, and astrology. I am an avid cook and would enjoy cooking for/with my housemates, maybe once every other month (depending on schedules/life). My goal is also to be a better plant parent, as I tend to kill plants. If you're skilled with plants, I'd love to learn how to keep them happy and alive.
While not a good plant parent, I am, however, a very good pet parent/can opener for my 2 sweet male cats (4 years old). I am very good at caring for them, so you won't have to worry about a stinky litter box and cat fur everywhere. I make sure to change their litter box once a day and vacuum their fur and any stray litter daily, as well. I also share this because, unfortunately, I can't accept anyone with animals.
I enjoy a tidy, clean, and quiet space to come home to. I value clear and kind communication, and I would love to establish agreed-upon accountability systems to maintain clean shared spaces and distribute chores fairly. I would also love to have house meetings for an intentional space for communication.
Of Note:
Although I have marked myself as a "Night Owl," I am trying to create a sleep routine to allow me to sleep early and rise early. This is still a work in progress, but I am very quiet as I battle to go to bed before midnight.

Hi!
I am looking for two lovely people to join me in leasing a home in Durham for August 15th!
About me:
I am 37 and I recently graduated with an MSW from UNC in May and am now about to embark on a position in the field of mental health (it is possible I will have a hybrid schedule with some work from home).
I make sure to change their litter box once a day and vacuum their fur and any stray litter daily, as well. I also share this because, unfortunately, I can't accept anyone with animals.

I value clear and kind communication, and I would love to establish agreed-upon accountability systems to maintain clean shared spaces and distribute chores fairly. I would also love to have house meetings for an intentional space for communication.
About the Space:
It is a spacious home that features wood floors, 3 large bedrooms, and 2 full bathrooms (one private), a large kitchen, dining room, and living room, a new washer/dryer, dishwasher, and potentially other upgrades or replacements to come. It is through Bob Schmitz Properties, and so far, my interactions with them have been very positive. You'll need a good credit score and positive references to qualify, and the process is quick.
About the Location:
- Walkable and convenient!
- Sidewalks on one side of the street!
- Within about a 15-minute walk to the Durham Farmers Market and downtown Durham.
- Within a few minutes walk to Elerbee Creek Trail
- Within a short walking distance to bus stops
