I would love to be friends with my roommate — I found my current departing roommate on Facebook and she’s one of my best friends.
I prioritize open communication and mutual comfort so we both feel at home. That means, beyond not leaving food out (my mom instilled a fear of bugs in me), I am not crazy about keeping things super clean. We should both feel able to relax in the common spaces! You’ll probably find lots of unfolded laundry in my room, but that will stay within my space.
I enjoy nights in but I also like being social and going out when I can. I read and watch movies very often (would love to do either or both with a roomie!) and have friends over once in a while, though I’ll be very communicative. I have lots of favorite spots in DC but always want to keep exploring and making new friends. I never cook (Trader Joe’s frozen food for the win) but my boyfriend is a chef and a baker so you will benefit from his skills!
