Private unfurnished bedroom in a 2-bedroom apartment in a house at Mt. Pleasant and Soudan in Midtown. Rent is $850 each, plus hydro, internet, and tenant’s insurance. (~$60/month each) The available bedroom has a walk-in closet, lots of built-in shelving, and fits a king sized bed and a desk. The apartment includes a shared bathroom, spacious living room with skylight, ensuite washer/dryer, dishwasher, AC units in living room and kitchen, parking spot (I don’t have a car), deck/outdoor space, and BBQ. The kitchen is small, but I cook a lot and manage just fine. Note: much of the furniture in common areas belongs to the outgoing tenant, so first week or so may be a bit sparse.

The apartment also includes an extroverted cat. He’s good company, and I’m happy to clean frequently to accommodate allergies.

About the area: the apartment is about an 8 min walk from Eglinton Station, and seconds from a bus on Mt. Pleasant. (Steps from the Mt. Pleasant station if and when the Eglinton Crosstown opens.) Quick walk to Farm Boy, Loblaws, fruit/veggie market, 3 LCBOs, 3 Goodlife gyms, 4 movie theatres (2 Cineplex, plus Regent and Mt. Pleasant), steps from Dollarama, Shoppers, and tons of restaurants, pubs, coffee shops (next door to Starbucks). Enjoy all the yuppie conveniences of Midtown on one side and the neighbourhood character of Mt. Pleasant Village on the other. (And Bayview village about 15 minutes away.) It is also close to the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, which is great for walking, running, and cycling. Also near trails, including nice 40 min walk to Brickworks.

I have lived here since April 2017 and am very happy with the landlords. They are nice, easygoing, and responsive. (They haven’t raised the rent once.) They prefer non-smoker, though, please. Tenants on main floor and basement are quiet/friendly.
