Room for Rent in Midtown East

Looking to fill an unfurnished flex-bedroom in our converted 3-bedroom, 1.5 bathroom apartment at 52nd and 1st. Full time doorman building, $1375 plus utilities and WiFi. Available starting as early as August 1st, but ideally somewhere around the 10th. This is a lease takeover with the option to and hope you’ll sign on October 1st.

We are two females 24/28 looking for another female roommate.

As you can see from the photos, there is a large window and two walls. The third wall is a stacked bookshelf/thick curtain. While the closet is not directly in the bedroom, the tenant has access to a private, large closet in the living room. Both roommates are very respectful of the current roommate living in that room in terms of respecting sleeping hours and keeping volume to a minimum.

Regarding utilities, internet is about 15/person monthly. Electric (via Con Ed) during the fall and winter is around 20/person monthly. During the late spring and summer because of the large AC units in each room it boosts up to approximately 100/person monthly. The building will require a letter of employment, background check ($20 nonrefundable payment), and some other pertinent items in order to be considered. The roommate who is moving out will need to be reimbursed for her portion of the security deposit ($1,500). Move-ins are only allowed Monday-Friday from 9-5pm.

Must be okay with pets.

We are looking for someone who is extremely clean and organized. Low-key and willing to compromise individual. All events hosted at the apartment need to be agreed to by all roommates.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD (SUTTON PLACE):
Residents who work in Midtown East (like the two current occupants) can walk to work. The M31 and M57 buses travel crosstown on 57th Street. The M15 bus travels up First Avenue and down Second. The 4, 5, 6, N, Q, R, E and M lines are available from stops at Lexington Avenue, with some entrances on Third Avenue. There are many restaurants along First and Second Avenues
