The house is two floors, with the living room, kitchen, dining area and a half bathroom on the first floor. Second floor has the full bath and two bedrooms. There's a front yard, some shared space along the back and side of the house where there could be grill/bike storage/etc.
Your bedroom would be furnished. It has a desk, a desk chair, a mirror, a closet and pullout couch that when folded out is the size of a full mattress. Once you take a look, I'm open to making modifications that would make it ideal for you.
The neighborhood: we're on 12th and K Sts SE. Closest subway is Potomac Ave (Blue, Orange, Silver). Eastern Market is close, as is Navy Yard, the Capitol Riverfront and Barracks Row. Plenty of restaurants, businesses, parks etc nearby and highly walkable.
Expenses would be the standard utilities plus I have a cleaning service twice a month and someone to work on the yard when it's not winter.
