Hey!

My name is Lina (she/her), I'm a prospective exchange student from Vienna at the University of Chicago and I'm looking for a nice place to stay from Mid-September 2025 through March 2026.
Sublets are also okay!

I have lived in shared flats since I was 18 and have come to really appreciate a warm atmosphere at home. I like to chat with my current roommates in the kitchen and we like to do stuff together often, even if it's just a game of table tennis in the park around the corner.

I'd like to find that kind of living situation in Chicago as well! My most important concern in shared living is that you can talk about your needs and annoyances that may arise in a sophisticated manner. I'm not strict about tidiness and it's normal for a shared apartment to look lived-in, but a certain basic cleanliness and consideration for your roommates (noise, dishes, usable kitchen surfaces etc.) is important to me.

Besides my 4 years of shared flat experience, I'm bringing a MUBI subscription, some great recipes and some decent stainless steel pan skills (will buy one as soon as I get to the US!)

Though I may be rather busy at the U of C, I like to bring people along to events like film screenings, theatre performances or just walking/biking around and exploring the city. I'm very passionate about analogue photography as well :)

Another important note: You do not need to be queer yourself, just friendly towards us. We're all learning from each other!
