I’m a 21-year old Londoner starting an MFA in filmmaking at NYU Tisch in August. I am sociable and friendly and – as a newcomer to the city – am after an environment where people make friends and spend time with each other. Having said that I also occasionally need my own personal space and distance sometimes, too.

I am on a very busy schedule (40-hour week) so I’ll be out a lot of the time but I really appreciate having a fun, sociable space to come back to. I’m very into my music (jazz, soul, disco and Latin stuff, mainly) and will probably be playing it aloud when I’m in the apartment if that’s okay, but I’m acutely aware of volume and will ensure it’s never too loud. I do a lot of home cooking (and am vegetarian), but as I am very aware of cleaning up and how annoying an untidy space can be. I also love cooking for other people, so you’re always more than welcome to a portion of whatever I’m making!

I'm super interested in films, music and politics - and love discussing all three of these things. I'm particularly passionate about the environment and intend to get involved with local environmentalist movements when I get to the city. I do enjoy going out at weekends (I like Nowadays and Elsewhere), although realistically I don't think I'll have time to do it very often due to my heavy schedule. Still, it'd be nice to find someone likeminded in any of these areas!
