Female roommate needed for a 3 bed, 1 bath apartment on desired Franklin Avenue in Crown Heights.
I am currently moving out of my room and I am looking for someone to take over my lease ASAP with the opportunity to sign the lease in September!
The Building:
A beautiful third-floor walk up on Franklin Ave. Less than a five minute walk to the 2/3/4/5 Franklin Ave Station. Bagel Pub, laundry, numerous corner bodegas and grocery stores nearby. Neighbors are all respectful and quiet. The landlord actually decreased our rent during the height of COVID and is the kind of landlord NYC renters dream of. Super and maintenance persons are just a phone call away and are always helpful.
Current Roommates:
Both working women with one attending grad school at night. Wonderful to talk to when making dinner or in the common space. Everyone is clean and makes sure to pick up after themselves. Since my time living in this apartment (nearly a year and a half), I have never had any problems with loud noise or surprise visitors. Both roommates are looking for someone who is the same!
The Room and Rent:
The rent is $1065 on the first of each month with water and heat included. Electricity and wi-fi is split three ways and comes out to less than $100 extra a month. February rent is already paid and I will pay March rent, as well for the right tenant. Additionally, I have a nearly-new bed frame and hybrid mattress that I can leave behind if you like (used for less than two months and will be cleaned).
The room fits a full bed, book shelf, chair, dresser, mirror, hamper, and small floor fan. The room has a closet that fits all my sweaters (and I have a lot) as well as high ceilings so room for storage above and below. Two windows that let in natural light as well.
I am only moving out because my fiance and I are moving out of the city, otherwise I'd stay! Cats are ok upon approval. Proof of income required. Security deposit required ($1065) and I will cover first month deposit.
