Michelle - $1,200/month

I am a 35 year old visual artist moving to Chicago within the next couple weeks for a full time, permanent artist residency. I graduated from Massart, Boston in 2009, with distinction and departmental honors, and plan to apply for an MFA in the next few years.

For work, I manage a PR based yacht charter company's 16 listing sites, acquiring clients and closing deals. I work 100% remote, however I am out and about most of the time. I will be in the studio all day, pretty much every day, and in my free time enjoy yoga, working out, reading, and listening to music.

Prior to working with the charter company, I worked on yachts for several years. This experience really developed my ability to live/work in close quarters with people in the most mindful way possible. Respecting space, personal items, need for quiet, and leaving a room as though I hadn't been in it (I'm fastidiously clean). At the same time, I'm super laid back, easy going, and happy to chat or am fine with someone needing space. I'm not a partier though I do enjoy having a glass of wine with dinner, and going out. I don't know anyone in Chicago, but am sure I'll be able to break in and make some friends shortly after. Especially with the artist community I'll be joining.

My work requires occasional travel, so I will also be gone for periods of time here and there.
