Cassandre B - $1,700/month

My name is Cassandre. I'm an ethnomusicologist in her mid-30s from the UK/France and have just arrived in New York for a 12 month fellowship at the Metropolitan Museum.

I'm looking for a friendly household where I can feel at home for a year. I'll be out everyday working at the Met, and may be travelling for a couple of weeks here and there throughout the year, but will be mainly in New York. What you describe sounds exactly what I am looking for.

More about me: aside from being a researcher, I'm also a gigging musician and look forward to discovering what New York has to offer - I don't practice at home, so no worries about that, and tend to listen to music only very rarely (I get plenty of it through my work already), and if so, only through headphones.

I may have occasional visitors come during the year (ex: a sister or friend coming to visit), and would hope that they could stay with me (in my room) during their visit.

I am fully vaccinated, and I am a social person, even if I do like to have my own space. In other words, this means that I like to get to know my housemates, but also will respect privacy. I have lived in a few house shares over the years so am familiar with a good balance of socialising (to feel like we all live together) and privacy. I also value tidy communal spaces, whilst being overall easygoing.

I'll be on a budget this year, so may prepare some meals at home to avoid eating out all the time, but these tend to be quite simple dishes, easy to take into work.

I am looking to move into a new place from 1st September. I’ve just arrived to New York and am available for viewings at very short notice.
