Looking for a roommate in Manhattan - New York

Ian J - $2,400/month

About Me

Hi! My name is Ian, I'm a 24 year-old male professional. I'm hoping to find 3+ roommates to rent an apartment on the East side of lower or midtown Manhattan. I'm pretty social and have become good friends with my roommates in the past, I've loved visiting New York and am excited to move in permanently and explore the city! Here's some notes on my preferences:
- The more roommates, the better! It should let use get a better deal, I've I found plenty of 4 bed 2 bath apartments online, and some 5 BRs.
- I'd like to sign a lease ASAP, and would ideally move in on the weekend of 9/13.
- I'm hoping to find a spot in a lively area, I've been looking at streets in East Village and Murray Hill in particular.
- Nearby transit is important, but I don't expect that to be a problem in NYC.
- I prefer an apartment with a large common space so that we can host friends, but I don't mind if my room is small.
- It would be great to have AC and a dishwasher, but it's not important to me how nice or new the appliances (or the apartment in general) are. We can also look at installing things ourselves.
- I tend to keep pretty clean
- My budget is flexible, anywhere in the $2000-$2700 range would work
- I'd love to get one or two cats! I'd be fully responsible for the care, you'd just get to hang out with them whenever you want :)
