Room with Private Terrace - Vinegar Hill / DUMBO

TL;DR: Room available now in spacious, plant filled Vinegar Hill duplex. Multiple private outdoor spaces, tons of amenities, and great location. $1600/mo + utilities. Partially furnished, or unfurnished up to you. I am a professional mid 30’s gay guy looking for similar.

Full Details:

- Top floor duplex apartment, elevator building in Vinegar Hill (between DUMBO and Navy Yard). No doorman. Bicycle parking in courtyard.
- Subway: 1.5 blocks to F at York St, a short 5-7 minute walk to the AC at High Street, or a brisk 10-15 minute walk to the 23 at Clark Street. Straight shot up BQE to LGA.
- The available room is on the bottom floor of the apartment, with one existing roommate on the second floor (me). Full bathroom on bottom floor, it’s basically yours but we do keep it nice because it’s what guests use and it’s the only bathtub. I have a separate bathroom with shower upstairs.
-The available room has it's own private terrace, and in addition to that, we have a large private roof deck with tons of plants. South facing, tons of light. This is not like many other ads you see where they list a “shared” roof for the building tenants. This one is entirely private.
- Full kitchen with tons of foodie tools you are welcome to use. I also cook too much and love feeding people. No dishwasher. Large gas BBQ on private roof, roommates split the cost of gas. Dining table seats 8-10.
- Washer & dryer available in apartment. They are in a closet in my room but you are welcome to use when it’s not disruptive.
- Mitsubishi mini-split HVAC in room. Operated by remote or you could add a Sensibo and control it from your phone remotely.
- Room is partially furnished - comes with a dresser, two standing closets, and queen bed frame with rolling under bed storage. This room doesn’t have a built in closet so these all help. Bed frame is Queen from IKEA and it has seen better days, but all you need is the mattress. If you prefer, the room can come unfurnished.
- Rent is $1600 per month + shared utilities (electric, gas, internet ~$150/mo). We split house goods like paper towels, TP and trash bags via Venmo. In the before COVID times we had a maid every other week, we can discuss getting back to that after the pandemic it was nice. It was $90 every other week)
- First months rent and security deposit required up front (deposit = one month's rent). Formal sublet agreement will be provided for mutual assurance of terms.
