Great Recession took out my longstanding design agency so Airbnb'ed in Williamsburg the past few years while I soul searched and found new purpose. I'm now an illustrated short story novelist (see instagram.com/tomorrowsvig) and a filmmaker (I shot a TV pilot that just premiered in June.)
I'm looking for long-term renters now to fill the two extra rooms in my third floor penthouse (it's not a helipad luxury apartment but it is the entire top floor). I'm an LGBT individual, non-smoker with no pets. I'm health conscious, into fitness, running, furniture making, sailing and of course, writing. I like my privacy but I'm social, too, focusing on getting my pilot picked up more than clubbing.
My ideal roommate doesn't have to be babied or nagged to clean up after themselves. I don't have a ton of rules, just that people do their dishes, aren't slobs, help out keeping the place tidy, pay rent on time and aren't having afterparties every weekend. I want people to enjoy the apartment but I don't want to relive my college years.
Ideally, I'd like someone who is at most 50% remote. I want to have a trial month and then will extend for six-month periods.

One of four units in a three story walk-up in Williamsburg with a roof view of lower Manhattan. You'll be welcome to use it. My ex-boyfriend and I designed a lot of the space and made some of the furniture. The space is rustic as Williamsburg is in traditional buildings rather than new builds. Security FOB entry. I'm the only tenant and looking for two roommates to take the former Airbnb rooms.
Room is fully furnished but can be changed with long-lease approval. Utilities are included. Security deposit is required for trial month before being offered six-month lease increments. Credit check and financials will be reviewed along with work history.
New stove and blacktop kitchen counter. Bathroom is having improvements done in September. October 1 move-in also possible. No pets. No smoking. Remote work okay but applications with less than 50% at-home hours will be preferenced.
