Sunny Room Available in Bushwick 2-Bedroom
Hi,
I'm a 29-year-old journalist and musician, and I'm searching for a roommate for my Bushwick apartment, preferably someone in their late 20s or 30s.
About the apartment: I've been in the space for a year and love it. Each room gets a ton of natural light, and the apartment is newly renovated and includes a dishwasher and hard-wood floors. (There are washers and dryers in the building basement that function half the time.) The space is a 7-minute walk to the Central M train, and a 10-minute walk to the Morgan L and Myrtle J, Z and M. There are also several Citi Bike stations nearby.
I have roof access and often hang out up there to take in stunning skyline views (photo attached), and my neighbors are all very kind and respectful. The apartment is on the second floor, so there can be some street noise when the windows are open, but they're insulated and keep a lot of noise out when shut.
About the room: My current roommate fit a dresser, closet, shelf, nightstand and queen bed in the room, but it could potentially fit a desk if needed, with a smaller bed. Or you're welcome to use the dining table in the common area as a desk. The room comes with a simple, two-door closet, unless you want to bring your own. There's also a shared closet in the living room that you're welcome to use.
About the area: There are several cafes and restaurants within walking distance (Bushwick Bakery, Nook, Forrest Point, Roberta's, Nene’s Deli Taqueria), as well as a ton of nightlife hotspots (Elsewhere, House of Yes, Sultan Room, Brooklyn Made.)
About me: I'm Lebanese-American, LGBTQ- and 420-friendly, and I spend most of my free time working out, making music, reading, seeing friends, going to shows, watching TV and hanging out with family. I work from home 3-4 days a week on a night schedule, but I'm usually holed up in my room then. I also try to keep the apartment spotless - I don't mind leaving dishes in the sink overnight, but I'm not a fan of crumbs or messes in the common area.
I'm hoping to find someone who identifies as female, is kind, respectful and laid-back and can commit to a year-long sublease. I respect my roommates' privacy, but also wouldn't mind hanging out once in a while.
