Hello from Roosevelt Island! I'm an actor, music theatre writer, piano tuner and voice actor living on Roosevelt Island, the greatest place in the city. I usually work from home unless I'm on a regional contract or tuning pianos. I keep kosher but you can bring in any food/dishes you like.
Looking for a roommate who's comfortable with a roommate who might leave for a few weeks at a time for work, so while I'm gone you'll have the place to yourself.
The apartment and building is pet-friendly, with multiple laundry units in-building. The island has plenty of shops, places to eat, parks and four ways to travel (the F/M train, a ferry dock, the Roosevelt Island bridge to Queens and the Tram directly to Manhattan). Room in a large Roosevelt Island apartment. Large kitchen with plenty of counterspace, shelves and cabinets, a fully-furnished living room with TV, couch and full piano. Your room has a large bed, nightstands, a wall AC unit, blinds, and large closet. Zero monthly fees for gas, heat or electricity!
Laundry units are in-building and available to all residents. Contains multiple elevators close to the unit. The building is one block away from the large grocery store, a bodega, various restaurants, dry cleaning and dog daycare. Building is a five-minute walk from the F/M train which gets you to midtown in ten minutes.
The island has a ferry dock, cable car, free island-wide bus network, multiple gyms, baseball and soccer fields and a theater. The atmosphere is very relaxed with no noise at night.
