About Me

About Me

I'm 31 and work in sales/account management on a hybrid schedule, with occasional travel for work.

I'm pretty social and active and tend to have a lot going on. I play softball, volleyball and golf, bike, work out, go to a lot of concerts/live music, garden, cook/grill, watch sports, play video games, and generally bounce between a lot of different hobbies. Music is a huge part of my life and I play several instruments, although I'm very conscious about noise and mostly play to myself. I'm definitely not breaking out a guitar at midnight.

I'm currently dating but not in a relationship. I'm 420 friendly, politically progressive, and generally very open-minded. That said, I don't need my roommates or friends to agree with me about everything. I enjoy people with different backgrounds and perspectives. My hard line is basically respecting other people and not being judgmental about how other people choose to live their lives.

I genuinely prefer living with roommates. I've historically gotten along really well with the people I've lived with, and several people who originally started as completely random roommates are now among my closest friends.

I'm independent and absolutely enjoy having time to myself, but I also like coming home to a place that feels alive. Especially with a house this large, there's plenty of room to disappear and do your own thing without everyone living completely separate lives.

Ideally, I'd like roommates where it's normal to occasionally watch a game together, grill or have a beer on the roof, work out, go to a concert, have friends over, or randomly make dinner together. I'm a big fan of family-dinner-style situations, love cooking/grilling, and am always open to sharing food.

I'm also pretty flexible about people having friends, dates, or significant others over. I want everyone living here to actually feel like it's their home.

Cleanliness-wise, I'm clean and care about keeping common spaces comfortable. I vacuum regularly, keep the kitchen/common areas in good shape, and like having a house we're all comfortable bringing people into. I'm just not interested in a chore-chart household where we're keeping score over who unloaded the dishwasher last. My philosophy is that everyone cleans up after themselves, communicates, pulls their weight, and occasionally does something that technically wasn't their responsibility because it needed to be done. It all tends to even out.

Basically, I'm friendly, laid-back, active, social and independent, and I'm hoping to find someone similar. We absolutely don't need to become best friends, but if we happen to, my roommate track record suggests it wouldn't be the first time.

The Cats

I have two cats, Comet and Teeter. They're both all-black, short-haired cats who are extremely friendly, well-behaved, and great with people. Being short-haired, they also don't shed a ton.

They're definitely social and will probably want to become your friends, but they're my responsibility. I don't expect roommates to feed them, clean litter boxes, or otherwise take care of them.

One thing I'm particularly conscious of is not having a house that smells or immediately announces "two cats live here." I stay on top of their litter, vacuum regularly, run multiple air purifiers, and generally work pretty hard to keep cat hair and smells under control.

They're very much part of the home without the home revolving around the fact that there are cats living in it.

Available Room for Rent

Jefferson Park (Highlands) Condo - 1 or 2 roommates for October move in.

Looking for 1–2 Roommates in Jefferson Park

Jefferson Park | Private bathrooms | Flexible Sept/Oct move-in | Garage | Rooftop + garden | Home gym | 2 min walk to Mile High

My lease is up in October, and both of my current roommates are moving away, one internationally and one back home. I love the house and neighborhood and plan to stay, so I'm looking for one or two roommates to keep a good living situation going.

I'm currently in the master. There are two bedrooms available: a large upstairs room and a smaller, but still full-sized, downstairs room. Both have their own full bathroom.

I'm open to either one or two roommates. With two, everyone gets their own bedroom and bathroom. With one, we'd use the third bedroom as some combination of an office, guest room, lounge, or additional workout space.

The house + location

It's a large, multi-level house in Jefferson Park, about a 2-minute walk from Mile High/Empower Field. Jeff Park is safe and residential while being close to pretty much everything:

- 2 min: Mile High
- 5 min: Sloan's Lake / Ball Arena
- 10 min: Coors Field / downtown
- 15 min: Red Rocks

Safeway is very close, along with plenty of bars and restaurants, and there are several nearby public transportation options.

There's a two-car garage plus plenty of street parking.

The house is nearly fully furnished with central AC, a new Samsung washer/dryer, lots of storage, tons of living plants, multiple air purifiers, and a large living room with a big TV, surround sound, and full entertainment setup.

Kitchen + shared spaces

The kitchen is big and already extremely well-equipped. I cook a lot, so we have plenty of cookware, appliances, storage, and basically everything you'd reasonably need.

There's lots of fridge space. Our one oddly specific weakness is freezer space, where we remain locked in a perpetual game of Tetris.

I enjoy cooking for people and am a fan of family-style dinners when they happen naturally. I'm also happy to share food and household stuff without keeping a running spreadsheet of who owes whom $4.

Rooftop + garden

The full rooftop deck is probably my favorite part of the house. There's a grill, plenty of room to hang out, and a large garden I've built up over the last couple of years.

It's great for grilling, having people over, gardening, or just hanging out with a drink.

Being two minutes from Mile High also comes with a ridiculous bonus: we get buzzed by basically every stadium flyover. Jets and helicopters come directly over the rooftop. Last year an Apache passed what felt like 250–300 feet above us and the pilot waved at us.

Front-row rooftop seats for Mile High flyovers were not on the original amenities list, but they're pretty damn cool.

Home gym + garage

I've built a pretty comprehensive home gym with a rower, several varieties of free weights, kettlebells, adjustable cables, resistance bands, a pull-up bar, boxing bag, Wahoo bike trainer, and other equipment.

The garage also has a pretty extensive collection of equipment for different sports and games.

I have a solid tool setup as well, and our landlord has been flexible about reasonable customization and improvements around the house.

I'm also completely fine with roommates having friends, dates, or significant others over. It's your home too.

Cleanliness + roommate philosophy

I'm clean and care about keeping common spaces comfortable. I vacuum regularly, stay on top of the kitchen and shared areas, and like having a house we're all comfortable bringing people into.

I'm just not looking for a chore-chart or scorekeeping household.

My philosophy is pretty simple: clean up after yourself, communicate, pull your weight, and occasionally take care of something because you noticed it needed to be done. If everyone does that, things tend to even out without nickel-and-diming each other.

Comet + Teeter

I have two cats, Comet and Teeter. They're both all-black, short-haired cats who are friendly, well-behaved, great with people, and don't shed a ton.

I'm pretty particular about not having a house that smells or immediately announces "two cats live here." I stay on top of their litter, vacuum regularly, and run multiple air purifiers to keep hair and smells under control.

They'll probably want to become your friends, but they're my responsibility. I don't expect roommates to feed them, clean litter boxes, or otherwise take care of them.

Neighbors + vibe

Our neighbors are awesome, and we've gotten to know quite a few of them. We regularly hang out, grill, have drinks, watch games, etc.

It's a nice little community where people know each other without being in each other's business. Between the house, neighborhood, rooftop, neighbors, and location, I've built a life here that I really enjoy and would like to keep.

Timing

Our current lease runs through October, but there's flexibility.

Since both roommates are leaving, an incoming roommate may be able to take over part of an existing lease before October, or we could work with our landlord on starting a new lease.

I suspect mid-September or potentially earlier could work, especially for the downstairs bedroom.

If you're interested in the larger upstairs room but need somewhere sooner, the downstairs room could potentially work as a temporary room/staging area until the upstairs room opens. If I end up with just one roommate, we'd likely turn the downstairs bedroom into shared bonus space afterward.

So October is the official timeline, but definitely reach out if you're looking for something sooner.

Rent + logistics

We rent directly from a private landlord who is very laid-back and easy to work with.

Rent is negotiable based on which room you take and whether there are ultimately two or three of us in the house. Utilities are split separately.

I'd rather figure out something fair based on the rooms and overall setup than arbitrarily charge everyone the same amount.

What I'm looking for

This would probably be a great fit for someone 24/25+, whether you're new to Denver and want some built-in social connections or you've been here for years and just want a good house with people you enjoy living with.

I'm looking for someone reasonably clean, considerate, communicative, open-minded, independent, and also down to actually enjoy living together sometimes.

Have friends over. Have a date over. Cook something. Use the gym. Grow something on the roof. Watch a movie on the surround sound. Close your door and do your own thing. It's your home too.

I'm much more interested in finding the right person or people than filling the rooms as quickly as possible.

If it sounds like a good fit, shoot me a message. Happy to talk rent/timing, send pictures, show you the place, grab a beer, or whatever makes sense.
