About Me

I'm looking for 2 people (preferably 20s or early 30s, working, male or female) to sign a lease for a 3-bedroom apartment in Midtown, Lower Manhattan, UES, Williamsburg, Greenpoint or LIC. My personal budget is around 1750 or below but I'd be happy to get a slightly more expensive apartment and take one of the smaller bedrooms. I'd be hoping to live with relatively social roommates who would be keen to hangout, have a few friends over occasionally and even sometimes host small parties/pre-drinks (if the space allows). That being said, personal space is also really important, so everyone would need to help keep common areas clean, not be noisy at unreasonable times, and ask other roommates before hosting people.

About me: I'm Australian/Austrian and arrived in NYC a couple of months ago to work with the UN. I love traveling and learning about different cultures; am passionate about politics and social issues; can be found in the gym most days; enjoy watching movies/TV shows and listening to music; and also like hiking, walking/exploring aimlessly; cycling and tennis.

Please note: since I'm not earning a lot and am new to the US so have no credit score, I have a family member out of state who agreed to be a guarantor if necessary. Considering my circumstances, I can't be sure that every place we enquire about would agree to me as a tenant. I'm also not sure if I'll be able to see through the full duration of a lease, because my current contract will only be until around the end of April, so I may have to sign over the lease to a new person at some point. Hopefully I will get a new contract and it won't be an issue, but just being upfront now.

My maximum monthly budget 1,750
Move in Date Oct 2022
Lease Duration 1 Year
Age 27
Occupation International Relations
Pets No Pets
Hometown Sydney Nsw, Australia
Education Master's Degree
Relationship Status Single

We think Alexander would be a great roommate! But in case you want to see more…
