I'm looking for someone to take over my room at The Mark Austin starting January 1, 2027. You can stay through May 31 or July 31, and I'm open to adjusting the dates for stays of about 3–4 months or longer. You won't owe rent after the end date we agree on.

It's Bedroom D in the E2 5-bed/5-bath apartment on the 15th floor, with a private bathroom and a large bedroom window. Coming with friends? Four of the five bedrooms in this apartment are being offered for the same period, including mine, so we can coordinate multiple rooms. This price is for my room; the other rooms have their own offers.

I'm asking $1,395/month including my covered garage parking space. The garage is on the lower floors of the building.

The apartment has air conditioning, a shared balcony and living room with downtown views, a furnished bedroom, and an in-unit washer/dryer. The trash chute is right next to the apartment. It's in West Campus at 812 W 23rd St, within walking distance of UT. You'd have normal resident Wi-Fi, amenities, and access to The Mark's management and maintenance through the full lease transfer.

The building has a pool, gym, study rooms, and a bowling alley. The photos show the room and shared apartment, plus the building amenities.

The desk, bed and under-bed drawers stay, as do the living-room TV, couch, table and kitchen stools. Some personal storage pieces and bedroom carpets aren't included.

Utilities: water, gas, electricity, Wi-Fi and the other usual utility charges run about $25–30/month, bringing the estimated total with parking to $1,420–1,425. An optional $14/month damage-waiver program is available for the building's insurance requirement; that would bring the estimate to $1,434–1,439.
Roommates: the current roommates are guys, but applicants of any gender are welcome. The final roommate mix will depend on the other takeovers.
One-time cost: $500 lease-transfer fee. We can discuss who pays; I may cover it.
