Kate M - $1,900/month

Hi!! I’m Kate — I’m hoping to move back to Brooklyn for a job I’m starting in early March. I lived in Brooklyn before I went back to get my master’s, and I’m so excited to return! I’m looking for a 2- or 3-bedroom apartment in Prospect Heights, Crown Heights, PLG, Park Slope, Boerum Hill, Fort Greene, or Clinton Hill. I’ll be commuting to the city 4x/week and would love to live near the A, B, or F trains. In-building laundry is a must for me, and my budget is $1900/month.

A bit about me: I’m 27, grew up in MA, and have also lived in London and Maine. I went to Tufts undergrad and got my MS in Bioethics from Columbia in August. Since then, I’ve been living in midcoast Maine while job hunting. In my spare time, I love exploring the city on foot, watching my favorite soccer team’s games at a local bar, hiking, reading, writing short fiction, and finding readings and writing workshops around the city. I’m clean and conscientious, and I care a lot about keeping a peaceful, restorative space. I enjoy hosting now and again but don’t do it regularly. I’m usually a morning person and appreciate starting and ending the day gently. It’s important to me to be friends with my roommate(s) — I just think it makes things so much more relaxing when you genuinely care about each other, even if you’re not best friends! I value open, honest, and respectful communication. I don’t smoke, am allergic to cats (💔), and appreciate people who don’t bring the party home. LGBTQ+ friendly is a must.
