I am a chef specializing in Japanese cuisine. That keeps me out from late morning through late evening most days, so on a typical day you would have the apartment to yourself. I’m tidy, and when I’m home I often relax and scroll on my phone.

I am seeking a roommate for my cozy two-bedroom, two-bath apartment near Union Market, Gallaudet U., and the National Arboretum.
You would have your own private bedroom with a large window and spacious walk-in closet. You would also have your own private full bath.
You would have your own private den, which is suitable for study or relaxing. The bedroom, bath, and den are not furnished.
I am happy to send you additional photos on request, or you can schedule an in-person or video tour at both of our convenience.
Shared spaces include kitchen, living room, balcony, and in-unit washer/dryer. As shown in the pictures, these areas are fully furnished. If you have additional furniture or appliances we may be able to make space for them in these areas.
The cost of rent is split equally between us at $1,100/month plus half added costs of utilities. The largest utility bill is electricity and depends on usage. The building’s utilities tend to run about $25 per person. Internet is no cost to you.
The building also has a pool, fitness center, indoor basketball court, and interior courtyards. Covered parking is available, street parking is free on all sides of the building, and a bus stop is conveniently located at the building. Pets are welcome.
The apartment management conducts its own background checks, and I request references and work and rental histories.
ABOUT ME:
I work in restaurants, and most days I am out from late morning through late evening. So it’s quiet here most of the day. I’m tidy and kind of keep to a routine. I do not smoke.
Occasional overnights are fine both ways with notice / approval.
The room is available immediately upon approval. Hoping for at least three to six months, and longer stays are welcome.
Tell me about yourself, your general schedule, and your timeline. We can arrange a time for you to come by and see it.
