Hi! I’m Sarah (she/her), 22. I’m moving to NYC to get my master’s in education and will be working at a school, so I’ll be pretty busy during the day. I’m a mix of social and private, I enjoy hanging out, but I also need my alone time.

As a roommate: I’m messy in my own space, but I keep common areas tidy and pick up after myself. I have one designated deep-clean day each week and do daily pickup the rest of the time. I can be loud occasionally, but I use headphones and I don’t mind noise. I’m 420-friendly (cannabis), I quit vaping but don’t mind if you do it, and I drink occasionally. I’ll always give a heads-up before bringing anyone over; guests probably won’t be super frequent because of my schedule. I don’t have pets now, but I plan to rescue one when I get to NYC, I love animals and don’t mind living with pets.

Communication: I’m direct and sometimes prefer texting. Disagreements are just conversations to me. I don’t tolerate disrespectful comments, but I’m always willing to talk things through. I’d like a casual friendship with a roommate, but I’ll be busy most days.

About me: I’m an artist, painting/drawing, and I love plants (I’ll definitely have some), going on walks, playing video games, reading, and cooking/baking.

Values: I’m an ally for Palestine, Congo, Sudan, and the LGBTQ+ community, and I want a home where everyone feels safe, respected, and able to be themselves. I’m looking for a roommate who is LGBTQ+ friendly, inclusive, pro-Palestine/anti-isreal occupation, anti-Trump, and communicates well.
