I cook 2-3 times a week. I'm up at 7, out by 9, home for lunch, and back out until about 6-8pm. I am a musician and teacher. I have a great couch and sound system, which is always a great sign if you ask me. Have friends over once a week or so to watch a game or play poker or something. You're always welcome to join. In terms of cleaning, if you are clean, we're not going to have a problem. I don't expect you to mop the floors. Just keep everything tidy and I'll keep it clean. I've had a few people live here and it's always worked out. I'm happy to provide references.

THE LONG:

Alphabet City, it's great.

Room is 8x9. Has two east-facing windows and a ton of light. Comes furnished with full bed, closet, shelving, nightstand, and dresser drawers (located in living room). It's on the top floor (6th floor), which means it's very quiet. You get used to the walk-up, and let's face it: you could use the exercise. I would ask that you not bring anything that cannot fit inside your room - the living room is as full as I'd like it to be. Comes with AC unit in room.

I ask the simple things: Light a match after you ruin the bathroom (there's a window, thank God), clean up your mess, don't leave dishes overnight, don't come home drunk at 2am and make a bunch of noise and leave the stove on, etc. If you're going to burn one I ask you do it outside. If you have an overnight guest that's fine but I don't want your girlfriend/boyfriend hanging out here on the reg. Please save the late night TV for your room. Wi-Fi and utilities included.

So - I ask you pay your rent and err on the side of courtesy. Peace and love.
